Superman IV: The Quest for Peace. Great music, not so great of a movie.. Can anyone think of certain movies they saw over the years and think this also?

Mom and Dad Save the World (Goldsmith) Small Soldiers (Goldsmith) H20 (Ottman) Apt Pupil (Ottman) S1mone (Burwell) Chain Reaction (Goldsmith) Air Force One (Goldsmith) Bad Girls (Goldsmith) Sleepers (Williams) Alexander (Vangelis) Criminal Law (Goldsmith) Shattered (Silvestri) Clan of the Cave Bear (Silvestri) The General's Daughter (Burwell) Top of my head. If I took the time to run out and look at the ole CD shelves, I'd probably locate dozens more.

And I agree completely, a great score is a great reason to watch an awful movie.

Was Sean Connery's acting too good for The Untouchables? Was Jack Cardiff's cinematography too good for Black Narcissus? Was David Lean's directing too good for Ryan's Daughter? Were Edith Head's costumes too good for Breakfast At Tiffany's? You get the gist. No one sets out to make a bad movie, do they? Like no one sets out to make a good or bad score.

You get the gist. No one sets out to make a bad movie, do they? Like no one sets out to make a good or bad score. That´s true but nevertheless they can end up with a film that is bad and a score that is much too good for this bad film! Devil's advocate playing here am I. There aren't mags like FSM and MTFM used to be (and Legend and MSV still are), separating any of the other things in a movie - you do have periodicals for professionals like cinematographers but not mags for fans of these other professions.

I can think of few movies as outright bad as Heavy Metal 2000 that had a score so mind-numbingly amazing. Glad to see another Talgorn fan. LeHah, do you have Talgorn's score for Asterix Aux Jeux Olympiques? It's fantastic. I also highly recommend Anthony Zimmer.
